For a long time, I had been looking for something to boost my energy before workouts. I followed nutritional recommendations from bodybuilding magazines and online medical journals that suggested foods from the carb, protein and fat categories eaten in the proper combinations would give me the energy for exercise and other daily activities. I listen to the Expert health pundits claims about daily meal selections. I was raised on the idea that a good breakfast is the most important meal of the day to have optimum energy for daily task. I fasted a few times in my life. I didn’t eat solid food and drank only lemon water for 30 days when I was a vegetarian in my 20s but went back to eating animal flesh after my marriage by my choice. I followed the story in the Bible about Jesus going 40 days without food and my mother’s church performs the 21 day Daniel fast where they don’t eat any animal byproducts during that period. So I did what I called my Jesus fast. I drank only 2 gallons of lemon water daily and went without solid food for 40 days. I didn’t exercise because my energy was very limited but better than when I ate daily meals. I lost 30 pounds during that period but I also lost muscle tone. While I was undergoing cancer treatments, I researched ways that I could lose body fat while increasing my energy. I came across five ways to accomplish my goals. The five changes to my life style were to adapt the Keto diet. With exception of drinking Bulletproof coffee first thing in the morning, I work out using high intensity interval training concept on an almost empty stomach. Finally, on a daily basis, I perform intermittent fasting. I don’t have my first solid food meal until about 4:pm where I must consume my last meal by 10:pm. I lost 65 pounds in four months and I have six pack abs.
My Ingredients
I like to explore the sales opportunities available at local supermarkets. Most of my shopping destinations are close to home or a fitness center so I save money on time and gas. I was really surprised that Aldi stocked Peruvian organic coffee beans and butter from grass-fed cows and both were inexpensive. I try to be frugal. Aldi also had organic Coconut oil, but Walmart beat their price. I could have bought my MCT oil from Amazon but Walmart beat the price and I did not have to wait on delivery,

The Processors (Simple Instructions)
The easy instructions below give you an idea of the ingredients and the amounts needed to make the coffee. I grind enough coffee beans to last three mornings. I store the grindings in a mason jar. I guess you can make your coffee with a regular coffee maker or a French press. At one time, I used a French press, but I owned an Espresso Machine bought back in the day because it was cool to say I make my own espresso. Espresso coffee is strong full flavor coffee with a lot caffeine. I call Espresso “Jet Fuel” because it ramps my heart up and I have hours of get up and go from it. Aldi sold Kerrygold butter but the price increased so they replaced with the Pure Irish Butter. The originator of Bulletproof coffee recommends MCT oil instead of Coconut Oil. I put a tablespoon of MCT oil and Coconut oil in my coffee. Warning, I don’t recommend using a glass blender or some plastic blenders because the hot coffee will crack them. I bought a single drink blender on Amazon.
